Ingredients required for Gajar Ka
Halwa/ Carrot Halwa Recipe:
7 to 8 carrots medium, juicy,
tender – 650 grams or about 3 to 4 cups grated carrots
3 to 4 cups of whole milk or full-fat organic milk
5 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
8 to 10 tablespoons sugar or raw sugar – 180 to 190 grams – add as required
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
10 to 12 cashews – chopped
10 to 12 almonds – sliced or chopped
2 tablespoons golden raisins
1 pinch of saffron strands – optional
Preparation Method For Gajar Ka Halwa/ Carrot
Halwa Recipe:
1.
Firstly we have
to wash the carrots and then peel them and then grate the carrots with a hand
grater or in the food processor.
2.
We have to take a
skillet on medium-high heat and add milk and grated carrots and bring it to a boil and then simmer it and keep stirring it.
3.
When you will see
milk is reduced from 75 per cent to 80 per cent, we have to add ghee, sugar and
powdered cardamom to the mixture and stir well.
4.
Now we have to cook on low flame.
5.
Then in the end
add cashews, almonds, saffron and raisins.
6.
Take a bowl and
serve warm
